We praise God for Bob's trip to Kenya, and we want to ask for prayer for -
Jason and Melissa's upcoming trip to Kenya starting November 17th
- The Lord's provisions for the rest of the truck and well pump repair expenses

Bob Hamilton returns after a productive trip! |
|
|
Bob spent time training groups of Pastors in multiple locations in how to study the Bible and teach it to their congregations! |
Bob and some of our key leaders in Kenya |
Our good friend and coworker Bob Hamilton had a full trip. He spent time training pastors from the communities of Wote, Kanzoweni, Kangundo, Nanyuki, Naivasha and at our HQ in Sagana, of course. It's hard enough for me to remember and even just spell the names of those communities! Bob is passionate about helping the people of God in Kenya. We are thankful to partner with him. He was in Kenya for close to a month, staying until October 24th. In addition to the larger pastor's conferences, Bob was able to provide 3 days of in-depth training to nine of our leading pastors. His goal is to transfer training and leadership to these young men so that the impact of the gospel and sound Bible teaching will increase and continue to grow regardless of how often Bob is able to visit. We are hoping to send a more detailed report from Bob in the near future, so stay tuned!

Burnt out Water Pump & Engine Trouble Just before Bob left for Kenya, our truck engine ($3,000) and our water well pump and electrical system ($2500) both burned out. Because of the urgency, we went ahead and authorized the use of some emergency funds but are now operating in the red. Praise the Lord for the $1,500 that has already been donated specifically towards these repairs! We are trusting God to provide the rest (around $4,000), in his time. If God is leading you to help us and you would like to designate funds for these needs, we would greatly appreciate it. Thx! |

Jason and Melissa head out on November 17th |
Please mark November 17th on your calendar to pray for travel mercies for Melissa and I (Jason) as we make our first international mission trip together! You can pray for preparations that are being made here - and for God to prepare people's hearts there in Kenya, and for Moses who is making all of the arrangements for our visit. |

El Kinal Outreach and Water Project |
| |
Can you imagine having to walk for MILES UPHILL every day to get clean water? And not just for you and your family, but also for any animals and for your garden too! That is the daily reality for the people who live in this tiny rural community called El Kinal (or "el Quinal" as Google apparently seems to prefer to spell it). Some of the people who live here are already believers, dear brothers and sisters in Christ. Some may have heard of Jesus, but haven't yet heard a clear presentation of the gospel.

We first encountered this community a few years back as one of the communities hardest hit by the hurricanes from that season. During my last trip there, I was invited to teach their student worship team and preach at their mid-week service. Kevin Aguilar and his team have really bonded with this community, and we are prayerfully targeting this community as the one we think God wants us to reach out to next.
Our plan is to visit each and every house in these hills, which will take quite a bit of time and walking! And our hope is that you will pray with us that God would provide the estimated $25,000 needed to install a solar powered water pump system, so we can get water from the closest source up to a tank at the top of the hill, where gravity can be used to bring water to each of the houses. The reason this project is more expensive than some of our other projects is because of how remote this community is. Getting material up and down the dirt hill roads is expensive. Grid power is especially inconsistent here, so we have to provide our own solar powered system, and those are really expensive in Nicaragua.
During our meetings with community and leaders at the church at the top of the hill, they are ready to partner with us and do most of the labor on their own: digging the trenches for the pipes and transportation of materials.
Are you thankful each morning to be able to open your faucet and drink some clean water without having to walk miles down hill and carry it back uphill? Perhaps you want to partner with us to help provide this same service to a community on the other side of the world? Are you thankful that someone took the time to explain the wonderful news of God's salvation plan through putting your trust in Jesus Christ, who died in your place? Would you like to partner with us and the local church there, to send teams of people with that message to each home in this same community? If so, we would ask for your prayers and partnership!
